To introduce these photographs as a site of an experience.A photograph is no longer a document of a life simply lived, but it becomes a moment, a pleasure that is enjoyed. It is a performance where there is tension, where there is excitement, where there is love and where there is grief. And in all of these works we see the artist. We see the photographer capturing those particular moments. We see Surekha's, heavily garlanded body draped in jasmine flowers as the site of tension, which not only celebrates womanhood but also underlines its very tensions. It's very aspirations. We see Madhu Das's practise, where he's improvising a relationship with his immediate surroundings. He's weaving himself in this myth of time that we very well see, particularly in Vivek with huge photo which interjects the West with the East, as well as with Nicol Chopra's performance from the yoga Chitra Kar series, where he tries to imagine what is fact and what is fiction.
